Throughout our existence, we have looked to the heavens to shape us,
direct us and deliver us from despair. Some believe our hails have
been answered by angelic messengers. Angels are found in our hearts as
well as virtually every known monotheistic religion. Yet, the belief in
angels has always been a very personal one.
While nowadays everyone of us can hold a different view on the subject
of angels, in the past it was the church who dictated how the heavenly
messenger had to look like. Although initially viewed as wingless, they
are currently portrayed as having huge feather wings. Wings are viewed
as symbols of freedom, purity and hope in life after physical death.
They represent enlightenment, guidance and protection (to be taken under
