Free-Range Colorado Elk Antler Chews
Purchases help fund Comparative Oncology Research and Cancer Treatment Grants for Working Dogs

Online or via pickup, we provide organic, eco-friendly, and chemical-free products, plus items to beautify your home and spirit. As a small volunteer-run nonprofit, we can't compete with the pricing at large stores. However, having no paid staff allows all our net proceeds to fund cancer research and  treatment for working dogs. Sit, stay & shop for what truly matters — health, home, happiness and healing.

We believe that health issues arise from all of the heavy processing and harmful insecticides and chemical fertilizers in foods. At the Land of PureGold we only carry those treats and chews that we would allow our own dogs to eat. Chews must be natural and free-range. For that reason, the cost may be somewhat higher. But, honestly, we believe our furkids are more than worth it. They have such a limited life span with us as it is, so we figure it is the least we can do to try and extend it by providing only the best.

All dogs need to chew. Although we cannot detect any smell to shed hardened antlers, dogs have a natural prey drive that allows them to zero in on the "wild" smell. No other chew can appeal to this power of instinct except real animal bones.

Our antler chews are safe, natural, healthy, odor-free and long lasting. They are provided to us from a family owned and operated business based in Colorado, where domestic elk has been raised since 1995.  All of the antlers come from  the family's ranch raised, free-range Rocky Mountain elk.

You will notice speckling on the outside of them. Do not worry, it is definitely not mold. The elk rub there antlers on the trees to clean the velvet off the outside. That is why some of them are smooth and some are rough, depending on how much the elk rub. The folks at the ranch do not wash the antlers so sometimes they have spots on them from the tree sap and sometimes from fly's and insects. The reason they don't wash them is because they never know what might affect different dogs and by doing so it could produce an environment for mold. When washed it also makes the blood tissue a different color. They figure, and we agree, that natural is always better.

Please realize that NO animals are ever harmed in the harvesting process. Each year the bull elk re-grow a new set of antlers. If the antlers are not cut off, they naturally fall off when the new set starts to grow. This hard antler is cut into pieces which make ideal bones for dogs to chew on.

Antlers last for months! We believe when it comes to bones & chews, one SUPER SIZED version honestly fits all. These antlers may present in two different sizes, as there are really no exacts when it comes to such a natural product. Your antler may be approximately 11 to 12 inches in length and 1 inches in diameter or 7 to 10 inches in length and 2 inches in diameter.

The photo here shows the different shapes that these antlers may be when cut.  Some have a pointier end than others. If you prefer a piece that is pointy or full on the end, just let us know. Also, if you want one that exposes more of the marrow (we love those best), just provide that request as well.

Price: $32.00 each.

NOTE: We only recommend & sell chews that are thicker and thus less likely to splinter. However, depending on your dog's aggressiveness of chewing, anything is destructible.
It is always important to remember that you must supervise your dog when utilizing this, or any kind, of chew.
