We were hopelessly and forever hooked after
walking down a
flight of stairs into a Golden heaven of sorts—a litter of soft little fluff
balls all scurrying about, this way and that. And, once seated and cuddling
wildly amidst a chaos of fur and licking tongues—with adoration flowing in from
far too many Goldens to count—we instinctively knew life would never again be
the same.
So, now since 1987, we have come to amass the finest collection of Golden themed wares.

Artist
Sueellen Ross
Sueellen Ross is known for paintings and
intaglio prints that are strong in texture and line, brilliant in
color, and meticulous in detail. It is also the subtle humor in her
art that is easily recognizable to collectors around the world.
Ross concentrated on her drawing skills when developing her own
unique combination of mixed media using India ink, watercolor and
pencil. Ross has authored books and appeared in countless
publications both as a featured artist and as an author. Her
paintings, etchings and prints have won her Featured Artist
positions at art exhibitions across the nation including the
prestigious Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum for 20 years. Ross'
works also have been placed in the wildlife art sale at Christie’s
in London, and she's been listed in Who’s Who in American Art since
1987.
Sueellen Ross has been called America’s Definitive Cat and Dog
Artist. For more than twenty years, her paintings of cat and dog
personalities have delighted collectors around the world. In her
book "Paint Radiant Realism in Watercolor, Ink & Colored Pencil" she
discusses "an exciting, mixed-media way of painting that takes full
advantage of the vivid moods of watercolor, the punch and contrast
of ink, and the rich textures of colored pencil."

These cards feature original illustrations by
artists, Paulina Stuckey, of the
Restless
Moon Gallery, Anna Moore, Ellen C. Maze, of
GiddyUp Studio, and Suzi Beber, founder of the
Smiling Blue Skies Cancer
Fund. Paulina's images display an innocence that draws one into her magical
whimsy. Ellen's playful tennis-ball loving Golden is just too
adorable. And, Anna Moore's angel is our favorite. So unique, these vivid cards can be used for every occasion, in happy times and
in sad, for they truly express the joy that only our special Golden souls can

Robin (Am-Can Ch. Nitro's Boy Wonder SDHF BISS
TDI CGC, Police K-9/Search and Rescue Dog), pictured in his Hope necklace below,
is one of our grant recipients. The first Golden to win the American Kennel Club
Humane Fund Award for Canine Excellence (ACE) in Law Enforcement, he with his
handler, Mary MacQueen, specialize in Human Remains Detection, Narcotics, and
Mantrailing.
Robin and Mary were recipients of the 2008 Police
Officer of the Year award for the Salamanca Police Department.
In 2009 alone, Robin has been responsible for getting about half a million
dollars worth of dangerous narcotics off the streets. Robin also provides Animal-Assisted Activities, as well as school
demos on the dangers of drug abuse. During special events he can be seen
carrying a donation basket or lunch box filled with candy for the kids.
 Robin was diagnosed with
Cutaneous Epithelioltropic Lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer, on October
15, 2010 — just two days after his eighth birthday. Despite a lack of medical
coverage and treatment costs of at least $10,000, our fundraiser and
Cancer
Treatment Grant saved the day. For those
diagnosed with cancer, the embodiment of hope remains critical,
Suzi Beber's
necklace creation keeping this belief burning
bright.
